Food is better than in usual warungs of Bali, but also way more expensive.Waiters barely speak English. Makes communication painful, which is becoming annoying after a few days.During our stay, we tried 6 meals each. From what we tried:- carpaccios are good- french fries are homemade, very good- tuna steak is really good- beef steak is tasteless- Pasta & pizza: not bad but nothing special- Gnocchis Gorgonzola are really bad

We discovered Nautilus on our second night in Gili Asahan and ended up returning every single day of our 4-night stay - that's how nice this place is!The food is absolutely delicious. Whether you want authentic Indonesian cuisine or Italian classics, here is the right place.What made our experience truly special was the staff, especially our waiter DD (alias Brown Sugar) who was wonderful. Everyone was so welcoming and by the end they recognized us and made us feel like family. The atmosphere is chill and authentic with excellent value for money.We absolutely can't wait to return when we're back in Gili Asahan!

This restaurant was recommended by a woman staying on a boat next to the island — and I was curious enough to check it out. I caught a boat to Asaham Island (50k IDR per person, per way) and spent some time exploring before heading to the restaurant.Atmosphere & Setting:The Italian restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a covered, open-air design that fits the island perfectly. It has a peaceful, charming vibe and feels like a little oasis.What we ordered:We had:• Pasta with eggplant – cooked al dente, flavorful and light• vegetarian lasagna - with pesto base• Complimentary bread served while we waited• Rose tea and water to drinkFood & Service:The food was very good.The service was friendly and attentive.Price:We paid around 500k IDR for two people, including soft drinks.Getting there:Getting to the restaurant requires a boat ride (50k per person, each way). I was curious about the island itself, so I took time to walk around. There are a few accommodations on the island — if you’re staying there, this spot is a must.Final thoughts:While the food and setting are lovely, I wouldn’t do the boat detour just for the restaurant. But if you’re already nearby or planning to stay on the island, it’s definitely worth a visit.

A wonderful restaurant in a secluded place in Lombok, on the island of Asahan, of course, it is very difficult to get to this place, including by boat, but it's worth it, today I didn't have time to take pictures of the dishes, I was hungry and everything was very tasty, but next time, and it will be soon, I will definitely take everything. As a result, it's just a magical place that must be visited.

We visited Nautilus yesterday for lunch during a visit to Gili Asahan. The food was fantastic (highly recommend the four cheese pizza and our tuna salad was great), the staff were lovely, and it’s a nice spot right on the beach. Wish we could have stayed the night there to try more of the food. Thank you!

I give 3 stars because one the waiters (or the supervisor) came and try to fix all the mistakes, otherwise my score will be even lower.1st day: I ordered orecchiette seafood pasta, they confirmed my order, after waiting almost one hour i asked again about my order and turned out they forgot it, then finally they prepared it and when the pasta arrived some calamari was still raw.2nd day: we ordered 1 capricciosa pizza and 2 seafood salads.The pizza was delicious, but then I found a worm in my salad and in my wife’s salad some calamari were raw (again) and she found an hair too.3rd day: I ordered scaloppine with salad. Scaloppine were actually good but when I try to eat the salad, I found a leaf which looked different from the others: turned out it was a tissue paper! Mixed well with the salad 😵When I ask about this to the waiter, he looked at me confused and left like nothing happened.After that another waiter (or supervisor) came very worried and offered me to remove this dish from the bill and a free limoncello.Positive notes: the wine selection is very good, with many Italian imported wines and cheap prices for a bottle.Pizzas are good too!The place is well decorated and has its one vibe.But most pay more attention to the hygiene, quality of food and customer service.

We lived in a nearby hotel and went to snorkel and eat at this restaurant.The food is divine! It’s a pity that they didn’t photograph it, but in the reviews of other users there are photos and carpaccio of fish and salads and grilled fish.If I had known about this hotel in advance, I would definitely have stayed there!

It's an excellent Italian restaurant :)The bread rolls with tomato puree offered at the start of the meal are a good plusLarge selection of pastas and sauces.The most economical restaurant on this side of the island, very good value for money.The ice creams are excellent and it's a joy to have tiramisu on the island.I put 4 in the kitchen because the pasta was often either too firm or a little too salty

The most exceptional Italian food, as someone who has lived a lot of my life in Italy I can attest to the genuine deliciousness of their food, especially the pizza and gelato which is far and away the best we have had in Indonesia (and we live here). Staff are so friendly, the vibe is lovely and very kid friendly. Beautiful ocean views, and comfy couches outside where we had a lovely romantic dinner in front of a bonfire one evening. You must try the seafood and tuna carpaccio. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Impressively well made Italian food! Their pizza margarita is delicious and their pasta is very comforting. House wines (red, white) served by the glass / 0.5l / 1l and decently priced. The restaurant is fairly large and busy thus feels more like a canteen than an intimate/romantic restaurant.

I would highly recommend this place. We didn't stay there in the hotel but I have been hanging out on their beach and restaurant for several days and it is just amazing. The beach in front of their property is perfect for walking in nicely, swimming and snorkeling. The food tastes delicious and the products are high quality and very fresh. We also had massages there and they were also really good. Would highly recommend to check it out! Every time I felt very welcome and the ambience there is very cozy and nice.

Gili Asahan Eco Lodge is truly a hidden gem that offers a quiet and pristine environment. Everything was perfect for us as a family with kids. There are so many things to do here — kayaking, snorkeling, chilling, and treasure hunting for kelomang and cute shells along the beach.The white sandy beach is right in front of the restaurant. You can spend the whole day here — from breakfast to lunch and dinner. Watching the sunset is something you definitely wouldn’t want to miss.One thing I wouldn’t miss either is waking up early in the morning just to hear the birds singing — even better than in Trawangan.I also love the jungle hut, so perfectly blended with nature. Everything was just perfect, and we’ll definitely be back here next year — and maybe every year ❤️❤️❤️

We had a great three nights here. Food is amazing. We loved walking around the island. Taking the kayaks and sup across to gili goleng to snorkel and we found the sea horses. Very relaxing place and very helpful staff. Island is also quite clean with not a lot of plastic and rubbish around.

Came here for a day, super easy to arrange transport boat from Lombok just message the restaurant and they would send someone to get you, I love this place so much, it’s quiet and the beach is absolutely beautiful! Shells here are insane! I was not a fan of the food, personal preference. But they had some sort of a honey ginger drink that was amazing! Snorkeling here (paid 50k per person to go to afew islands on a boat) also wasn’t too impressive compared to pink beach in Lombok but it’s still nice to swim around the waters from shore! Overall a beautiful island with soft sand

Had the most amazing stay at the eco lodge, they have a wonderful ethos, everything is aimed to help the community and the environment. They aim to reduce plastic waste in the ocean and have schemes to help the local school.We stayed in a Bale which was a super cool experience, a little bit of luxury, whilst still feeling connected to nature. They have a yoga studio in the hill that overlooks to the sea and a wonderful practice.The restaurant food was incredible, they specialise in Italian but still provide local dishes. In particular, the Tuna fillet was top notch and the lasagne and the Aubergine parmigiana would highly recommend!The staff are absolutely lovely and so helpful. The Lodge allows guests to use their Kayaks and Paddleboards but aside from that, it is the perfect place to chill out and do very little in a stunning environment!

Such a wonderful peaceful place. We stayed in a bale, so exciting, back to natural but with luxury. The staff were incredible, so helpful, friendly and super efficient. Just love the relaxed atmosphere, nothing too much trouble. Food was fabulous, the tuna was the best I have ever tried. Love the owners passion for a more eco friendly world, making many wonderful changes for the environment and local people. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely place, great to be connected with nature and reconnect with yourself. Has a great time with family there. Snorkeling was amazing, able to see turtle and a lot of nice reefs. The staff was very friendly and we loved our stay there.

I can only describe my stay at the Eco Lodge as truly magical. Everything was just perfect from start to finish – the place is beautifully maintained, the staff incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, and the food was absolutely fantastic.I also walked around the island and can honestly say the Eco Lodge would always be my first choice. The beach is stunning, and the hotel’s tours and activities are just as amazing.I genuinely recommend this place to everyone. I’ll definitely be coming back – it was, without a doubt, the most beautiful experience I’ve had on my journey so far!🙏🏼😍

The best Gili island you could visit while in Lombok! This place is an ecolodge that does amazing things for their community. Everything was Peaceful, full of nature, snorkelling was amazing. A great place to recharge. 😌

I chose this island and the Eco Lodge for its isolation, its location, and its privacy, and my choice was the right one.The friendly and welcoming staff will assist you to ensure your stay is comfortable.I loved my bungalow with its terrace and outdoor bathroom; it was so charming.I loved my morning swims in the clear, calm waters...I loved discovering Italian cuisine, but not only that; every meal was delicious.Finally, what can I say about the remarkable seabed in the surrounding bays, the magnificent sunsets gliding over the island of Lombok, the incredible massages...You get the idea. A stay like this will invigorate you for months to come.Thank you.

I spent a week in January during the wet season, and I thoroughly enjoyed my timeless stay. Four or five days seems like the perfect amount of time to enjoy the place, walk around, and smile at the colorful fish in the various bays around the island. My bungalow near the beach with its private terrace allowed me to enjoy afternoons in the shade. The food is excellent, Italian, but not exclusively. The staff was attentive.I recommend this stay if you're escaping the crowds of the northern Gili Islands and the Balinese resorts. I recommend continuing to the south of Lombok and its incredible beaches and bays.Of course, there's trash on the island, both in the nearby fishing village and on the beach in the morning, and a lot of trash, OUR trash. I heard some French people (their usual grumblers) say it's a trash island: what stupidity... we were ripped off... I think a touristy resort would have been more appropriate for them! very clean... and sanitized but this desperate reality does not spoil the stay in any way and I do not forget the magnificent sunsets which I enjoyed.

I loved staying at eco lodge, and I loved everything about it. I booked four nights and extended for another night. Here is why:1.: the location: gili asahan is comparably very small and it was the perfect place to relax for me. No cars, scooters.. only boats, plenty of opportunities for activities and just relaxing :)2.: the hotel: everything is designed very thoughtfully and beautifully, with a lot of attention to the detail and sustainability.You can tell that a lot of thought went into how this place can be designed sustainably, including the social dimension of tourism.Besides that, I enjoyed staying in my “room”.I had everything I might need inside the “bale“ - it’s like a room without walls, but curtains and Moskito nets that do their job :-)The bed was really comfy and sleeping in to the sounds of the forest and tropical rain was just magical!3.: the restaurant: the food is just amazing - the Indonesian aswell as the Italian dishes. It was great to have some “comfort food” after some time of traveling :-)4.: the staff & service: as it was already mentioned, the service and offered activities are amazing. The team was extremely supportive in organizing transport from Bali and overall. I have felt extremely comfortable throughout my stay, and this is to a big big extent due to the amazing staff at eco lodge. The people working in the restaurant, at the reception and in all other functions are extremely warm and welcoming. I spend my birthday there and got cake and a happy birthday song🥹Terima kasih for this beautiful experience ✨🦋🩵

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, and our beach hut, located right by the shore, truly gave off island paradise vibes. The food was delicious, though a bit on the pricier side. In our opinion, two nights are enough to explore the island and enjoy the water.The only downside was that during our visit, the water visibility was poor, and it was filled with small jellyfish or sea lice - something we weren’t warned about. Unfortunately, I ended up covered in itchy, red bumps, which made our snorkeling experience less enjoyable.

Paradise! We had such a lovely bale with a private bathroom just a few meters away, great value for money!The resort is beautiful, each accommodation has its own space. The snorkeling around the island and the kayaking were some of the most beautiful, with lots of colorful coral and magnificent fish.The staff was very friendly, and the Italian restaurant was breathtaking! A marvel!It's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the island.
